This handbill & order form is a relic from one of the more exciting events in the history of Rock and Roll. Originally billed as the Trans continental Pop festival this cross country tour made stops in three Canadian cities to stage a show with the Grateful Dead The Band Janis Joplin and other acts of the day.
The real story however was the train that carried the musicians across Canada in the summer of 1970. The camaraderie led to an outrageous non-stop party/ jam session. The joy is forever captured in the 2003 Film “Festival Express”. In July 2017 an example for the July 4th and 5th McMahon Stadium shows graded CGC 6.0 realized $299 in our auction.
