What an iconic sign of the times! We are proud to offer this CGC graded rarity for the first time in our auction. This handbill advertises a run of shows by Big Brother & The Holding Company at the legendary Matrix in San Francisco during the spring of 1967. The image exhibits a particular likeness to The Cheshire Cat character popularized by Lewis Carroll’s Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and is well known for his distinctive mischievous grin. This original handbill is extremely rare and sought after in ANY condition and this example has that classic vintage appearance of looking like it was taken directly off the wall at the show. We may not see this one again for a long long long time!
