This is the first CGC graded example of this colorful original Grateful Dead handbill to appear in our auction! The Rose Palace in Pasadena had originally been built for the construction of floats for the “Tournament of Roses Parade” which is held every New Year's Day in the city. During the late sixties and through the seventies it was also used as a concert venue. This “Scenic Sounds” promotion is quite special with three big names on the bill at the Rose Palace: The Grateful Dead Jethro Tull and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band! Original handbills from this venue of any band are difficult to find because so few were made. Therefore because of its scarcity we may not see this one again for a long time so don’t let it get away!
