This beautiful handbill is from the Dead's 1974 summer tour a few months before they took a hiatus from playing concerts for a year or so to pursue solo projects and get some rest. Philadelphia was always a major Grateful Dead "hotspot" and this show was fantastic with an exploratory jamming-segue of songs late in the second set: “Weather Report Suite-Space-Wharf Rat-US Blues”.
In February 2018 an example with a similar grade realized $500 in our auction. Collector interest in original vintage concert handbills has been exploding in recent times. Read our Blog dated 5/18/18 to learn more!
