This artist proof is numbered 1/100 and signed in silver ink by Sonny Barger and the artist Ron Bailey!
This striking lithograph was made by noted artist Ron Bailey and is based on a photograph of Sonny Barger by Ralph Nelson in 1968. It exhibits Sonny resting on the 1974 Harley he called “Sweet Cocaine” which he built for the filming of a motion picture he appeared in. The lithograph master was created from the original watercolor painting after which the plates were destroyed. 100 limited edition artist’s proofs were retained and called the “Black Edition” like this example here. This one has an additional thick black border unlike the more common 2200 regular prints. Not to mention it’s numbered by the artist’s hand in silver ink “1/100” as the first printed! The FIRST of any collectible is the most important! Read our blog dated 1/25/2010 to learn more. In addition this example is beautifully signed by BOTH Sonny Barger AND the artist Ron Bailey! This museum quality specimen has it all!
