This poster is signed by the artist Boyd Elder AND inscribed to Rick Griffin by the artist Boyd Elder!!!! Wow!
Artist Boyd Elder was also known as “El Chingadero”. He became friends with Gary Burden who designed The Eagles first three album covers. Burden introduced Elder to the members of the band in 1974 and presented them with two of Elder’s artworks one of which was chosen for the cover of “One of These Nights”. Boyd Elder also did the cover art for the later “Greatest Hits” album which has sold a gazillion copies. This is an Asylum Records promo poster for “One of These Nights” signed by Elder AND INCRIBED to Rick Griffin! Griffin owned this poster for quite some time! It was a true respectful tip of the hat expression of gratitude from one artist to another. This original example is a real treat it’s very rare and it has that personal touch inscribed by the artist! A true gem!
