The poster was produced for the final show at Armadillo World Headquarters.
The Armadillo opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. This legendary music club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10 year tenure The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere.
The poster in signed in marker in the lower right by Ray Benson who was the front man for Asleep at the Wheel.
