The young Rascals were a relative footnote to the music scene of the 1960’s but they left a lasting mark with their often covered classic # 1 hit “Good Lovin’ “ They had several other chart toping successes but have not been embraced by the history books. Although they did not have a huge impact the band will be forever remembered by this early Wes Wilson contribution to the most import series of concert posters in history.
This poster for an August 1966 appearance by the Band at the Fillmore is one of the lasting remembrances of this band. This poster is a prime example why many consider the first 30 of the Bill Graham series in undamaged condition to be extremely undervalued at current price levels. If you want a damaged used copy you can take your pick as most of the original issuances were messed up long ago.
