The Mothers of Invention’s inaugural Album “Freak
Out” was released on June 27 1966 and introduced the world to the genius of Frank Zappa. The recording was a view of modern culture and the LA youth scene through the lens of Zappa who from the beginning of his career produced some of the most complex humorous and stunning music ever created.
This handbill advertised an event dubbed the Freak Out that took place in LA at the Shrine in September of ’66 just months after the release of Freak out.It would be all but impossibe to locate a finer examnple of this!
