The posters that were created for the pychedelic music scene in London England in the late 1960s were some of the most creative and beautiful posters ever made. Due to their small print runs large size and super thin paper very few remain today in any state of preservation. Hapshash and the Coloured Coat was the name of the poster company that showcased the collaborative efforts of artists Michael English & Nigel Weymouth. The series represents some of the most colorful and unique art ever used for rock posters. This example for a 1967 Pink Floyd concert at London’s UFO club is one of the most desirable of the entire run. Pink Floyd are one of the most passionately collected bands of all time and posters from their early years with their original guitarist and LSD casualty Syd Barrett are super scarce and valuable collectibles.
This poster has been in the possesion of the original owner since he attended the Pink Floyd show at the UFO in 1967.
