This poster was designed by Wes Wilson for a performance of the Beard at the Fillmore. The Beard was a play by beat playwright Michael McClure and it’s a true gem from the era. Although not a musical event The Beard was a perfect illustration of how inspired young artists pushed the envelope and created a new culture. This is one of the very finest examples we have ever handled of this highly sought after and super popular issue!
Early Fillmore posters in this condition are all but impossibe to find now and rapidly growing demand greatly outweighs the tiny supply that have survived in pristine condition!
