The Grande Ballroom series produced some of the finest imagery from the 1960’s music scene. In many cases promoter Russ Gibb chose to only produce postcards to promote events. That being the case Grande cards and card sets have become one of the most highly sought after items by serious collectors.
This postcard is called OPC-E because a small number were found to have a small green dot located a bit to the left of the ‘j’ in Jefferson. This was a drop of green ink that fell onto the screen during the original printing.
This lot combines two of the hottest areas of the market Grande Ballroom material and CGC graded postcards. See our blog dated 1/20/18 for details. It can also not be overlooked the crazy 9.9 grade. We have widely reported that CGC graded material graded 9.8 is off the charts. The few items graded 9.9 create a feeding frenzy. This is lot is exactly in the crosshairs of the new collectors ebtering the market right now.
