The Hells Angels Motorcycle club was an integral part of the 1960’s counterculture. They were also known for throwing exciting parties. This poster is for one such event that occurred at Longshoreman’s Hall in 1971. The Macabre yet humorous advertisement for the event was created by Randy Tuten and is featured in The Art of Rock plate 4.13.
Wow! Triple Wow! This is unquestionably the finest quality CGC graded example of this highly sought after and hugely popular poster to appear at public auction. We previously sold a signed 9.0 example for $1392 last year. In any other collectibles market this lot would command a premium of 5x-10x the 9.0. It will be interesting to see what premium the market commands now.
One thing is for sure if you are building a collection where only the very best will do this lot should not be passed up. We cannot say enough about the merits of this poster. Legendary design un-improvable Museum Quality condition signed by the artist with CGC grading. The finest CGC example by a country mile to appear at auction.
