This rare and amusing handbill features a great photo of the early Airplane with Signe Anderson as their female vocalist. Anderson would leave the band after the birth of her child and Grace Slick would take mike in October of 1966. The Airplane would go on to have the greatest initial commercial success of any of the Bay Area Bands in the 1960’s. This handbill is featured in the Art of Rock Plate # 2.132.
This authentic and original handbill measures 9 7/8” x 7 27/32”. There are 2 pinholes in the top corners on vertical and three horizontal folds (folded into 8ths) and a few light stains.
