Here is an opportunity to own an incredible piece of memorabilia from one of the most legendary bands of all time!
This huge poster was used to promote The Who’s 1973 Fallout Shelter US tour that was in support of their fan favorite Quadraphenia album.
The 1973 North American Tour consisted of 12 dates beginning with a concert on November 20th at San Francisco Cow Palace and ending Dec. 6th at the Capital Centre in Largo MD.
This is a super large promo/ concert tour poster. It is estimated that only about 200 were originally printed . Due to its immense size don’t believe more than a handful have survived. If not for being preserved by linen backing this poster would have disintegrated years ago.
This is not 12”x21" Randy Tuten Bill Graham poster for the Cow Palace show which is much smaller and more common poster .
This gargantuan poster has been linen mounted and measures 41 3/4” x 54 15/16”.We are unable to adequately grade this poster because we can not determine with great certainty the original flaws. However our thorough inspection revealed the following; A large horizontal crease in the middle of the poster an eight inch crease on the top right and minor scratches on the surface of the poster scattered handling wear and a few small margin tears it also appears to have has a few areas of black color touch-ups all which blend in inconspicuously. The overall appearance remains totally bright clean and glossy.
