This rare, original uncut printer's proof poster for a benfit at California Hall is an early killer design from the venue by artist Michael Wood. The poster was created for The Ancestral Spirit Festival, which was a benefit show gathering to support the Haight Ashbury Karmic Bail Fund, held in May 1967. Performers like Sandy Bull, The Sparrow, The Epics, The Loading Zone, Flying Circus, many more were in the lineup. We've only ever auctioned the handbill for this event - the poster is extremely scarce! The posters for Cal Hall are always colorful, beautiful and are often found in really great condition considering their age.
Condition Details: Toning, creases.
