This original poster for the Freudian Slips and the Tweedy Brothers at the Ark in October 1967 is bright and colorful in design. This is the first example of this rare Ark issue to appear in our auction. The Ark was a small club that served as an after-hours hangout for many of the Bay Area bands of the early psychedelic era. Many bands would play their regular show at another club or ballroom and then show up at the Ark to play another set or two. It has recently been brought to our attention that this poster (as well as several other Ark posters from this series) were created by John Lichtenwalner when he was working as a staff artist at Portal Productions.
Condition Details: Creases, foxing, tape pulls on reverse, writing on back, adhesive on reverse.
