This incredible poster announced the first annual British Rock Meeting, held in Speyer, Germany, at Rhein-Halbinsel in September 1971. The massive lineup included Black Sabbath, Rod Stewart and The Faces, Fleetwood Mac, Fairport Convention, Rory Gallagher, and more. This was the first major rock festival to take place in Germany, and drew around 25,000 attendees. The artwork was produced by German artist Gunther Kieser. Kieser is perhaps best known for his 1969 Jimi Hendrix Germany poster, but he created many concert posters throughout the years in his signature bizarre style. This is the FIRST time we have come across this rare piece!
