This rare poster advertised the 1972 Lincoln Festival, AKA the Great Western Express Festival, held at Tupholme Manor Park in Bardney near Lincoln, UK, from May 26th-29th. The four-day festival drew a crowd of over 50,000 attendees and was one of the first large-scale rock festivals in the region, along with the Isle of Wight Festival and Glastonbury, which were conceived in the late 1960s. The Lincoln Festival featured performances from Joe Cocker, The Faces, The Beach Boys, Don McLean, Strawns, Genesis, Sly & The Family Stone, Ry Cooder, and many more of the era's greatest musical artists. We have never seen another example of this poster before!
