This is a variant version (with dark yellow ink pass) original printing of this poster (with the union printers bug in bottom right corner), produced by Double-H Press. Most of the first printings were black & white only and contain the union bug. The reprints are full color containing blue, red, green, yellow and brown, but do not have the bug / Double-H Press credit in the bottom right corner. This rare black & white original printing you see here - with small sections of yellow ink pass - is a diamond in the rough, and the first of it's kind we've ever auctioned.
This classic 1967 Berkeley Bonaparte Rick Griffin Headshop poster claims that A Puff of Kief in the Morning Makes a Man as Strong as a Hundred Camels in the Courtyard. Interesting advice. We're not sure of the origin, but it reads like some ancient proverb. Regardless, this classic Griffin poster is a must for any collection.
Condition: edge creases, corner bumps.
