Greg Irons was one of the great unsung heroes of the 1960s psychedelic art scene. Irons was a master of underground comix, posters, and tattoo art. His style was perfect for each of those media. This was the artist's first poster for the Fillmore series. The story was that Greg went to Bill Graham with a copy of a poster he had just created for the Western Front. After seeing Irons' work, Graham allegedly gave him 24 hours to produce this poster. Not bad for a rush job, huh?
