This uncommon ticket order form handbill / mailer was produced for Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's appearance at the Pauley Pavilion at UCLA on December 6th, 1969. The mailer also promotes the group with Dallas Taylor and Greg Reeves, the rhythm section that completed the initial touring and recording lineup of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Taj Mahal opened the show. Notably, this show occurred the same day as the historic and tragic Altamont Free Concert, which CSNY had also played earlier in the day. The ticket order form is on the reverse side.
The history of this quartet overflows with all the juicy elements of LA's Rock scene in the 60s. The powerful synergies of the band's members created some of the greatest music ever set against a backdrop of Sex, Drugs, Ego clashes, and human drama. This is the stuff that makes great art. Each member was forced to be reckoned with in their own right. Yet, it was Neil who added the X factor. His irascible nature and raw energy were the piece of grit that formed the pearl.
