This magnificent poster for a cancelled Family Dog show at the Avalon is described by noted concert poster expert and historian Eric King as “The quintessential psychedelic poster!” The central image is borrowed from a 19th century painting by Viennese Painter Franz Von Stuck . This image is a reoccurring theme in the Avalon series with this being its first use. Because this show was canceled this poster was produced just once. No reprints are available which insures constant demand for the first (and only) printings of this incredibly popular piece.
This poster is an excellent exxample of the bargains offered by acquiring CGC graded material. This poster has no nicks cuts tears or pinholes. Just a bumped corner keeps this from dead mint yet it will be available for a more affordable price level!
