Extremely early and rare original handbill featuring The Great Society, Jefferson Airplane, The Mystery Trend, and others at the Fillmore Auditorium on December 10th, 1965. The event was the "Appeal II," the second of a series of three fundraisers Bill Graham organized after Mime Troupe founder Ronnie Davis was indicted for performing in public parks without a permit. Also at this event, although not printed on this handbill, were the newly named Grateful Dead, formerly the Warlocks. The third fundraiser, SF Mime Troupe Appeal III (AOR -2.39 ) was held on January 14, 1966, and was the first time the name Grateful Dead appeared on a Bill Graham poster.
