Presenting a RARE, original cardboard poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Lewiston Armory in Maine on March 16th, 1968. This is also the FIRST TIME it is appearing in our auction! Legend has it that the profits made by Jimi and the band from this show were as little as $50 due to a flimsy contract with promoters. Lewiston Times writer Andrew Tolman in attendance that night said "He played guitar with his teeth his tongue either hand the microphone stand anything he could find!" Unfortunately the sound system at the venue was poor quality and Jimi was not very pleased with the stage mix so the band ended early and cut their performance short. This poster has great eye appeal, featuring the same font style used on the first Experience studio album release for Jimi's name. It's unlikely we will see another one of these rare posters come across our auctions again anytime soon!
