This poster was created for a Grateful Dead concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 1972. This show was to be the Dead's last performance with Pigpen. Pigpen was a major force the Band in it's it early years and the Dead's sound evolved after his departure.
The show was promoted by Pacific Presentations an early '70s southern California rock concert promotion company that held shows in large capacity venues and ushered in the arena rock era.
