Titled by the venue's semi-slogan "Magic at the Edge of the Western World," this beautiful Original Poster exhibits split-fountain technique and trippy imagery. Approximately seven months after The Family Dog were forced out of the Avalon Ballroom, Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom, part of the Playland at the Beach complex. Due to budget constraints, relatively few posters were produced for the shows at 660 Great Highway, and they were printed in small quantities. This super-rare pre-concert first printing features New Riders of the Purple Sage's It's a Beautiful Day, along with many more, and it's 100% Original with no restoration! We haven't offered another example of this poster since 2020. Don't pass it up!
