This poster announced Pere Ubu's appearance at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, on June 24th, 1998. Pere Ubu was an experimental, avant-garde punk band formed in Cleveland in 1975. Led by singer/songwriter David Thomas, the band experienced numerous incarnations and lineup changes until Thomas's death last year. Countless artists of historical importance cite Pere Ubu as an influence, including Joy Division, Hüsker Dü, Pixies, and Henry Rollins.
