This super-early original handbill features The Sonics -- an aggressive garage rock band from Seattle-- appearing in Oregon in February 1966. They became noted for their rowdy covers of early rock & roll standards like "Louie Louie" and their intense originals “Witch” and “Psycho” (all of which are advertised on this handbill). Over the years, songwriter Bruce Springsteen and groups like Nirvana and Skinny Puppy have cited them as direct inspirations.
