This original program was produced for the 1979 Newport Jazz Festival, held in Saratoga, New York, over 10 days. In 1972, the annual festival was moved from Newport, Rhode Island, to New York City, and this year included a satellite festival in Saratoga, for which this program was produced. The festival moved back to Rhode Island in 1981. This event's lineup included legendary jazz and rock performers such as Dave Brubeck, Fats Domino, Art Blakey, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, and many more. A unique item we've never offered in our auction before!
