This handbill was produced for Aretha Franklin's February 1981 engagement at City Center in New York City. The image is a drawing of a portrait of Franklin that appeared on the cover of her 26th studio album, Aretha, which was released a few months prior to these shows. It was her first record to be released on Arista. Franklin became a star in the late 1960s with a number of hits. She remains one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, and although she passed away a few years ago, her legacy will continue to live on.
