Santana was a Bay Area native who caught the eye of Bill Graham early on. This poster by David Singer was for a 1969 Winterland Santana run of shows. By this time, the band was beginning to enjoy worldwide acclaim. Just four months earlier, they released their first album, which took the nation by storm after their breakout performance at the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival.
