This original poster has been authenticated on the reverse by the Godfather of 1960s Psychedelic Concert Posters, Eric King! The lightly penciled inscription represents what concert poster authentication looked like prior to CGCs authentication of these items (See photo).
This is the OP-1 Original Pre-Concert First Printing version of this poster. The FD-27 issue was only printed before the concerts (there are no reprints), which makes this poster especially desirable and valuable. This powerful, original poster for a canceled Howlin' Wolf show at the Avalon features another classic Mouse/Kelley design. The shows themselves were canceled, but this classic image has remained a popular and important collectible in the series.
