This vintage handbill was produced for an event called "Music in the Hills", held at the Waterford Park Outdoor Amphitheatre in Chester, West Virginia, on July 8th, 1973. The lineup included Humble Pie, J. Geils Band, Black Oak Arkansas, and Frampton's Camel. Peter Frampton had already left Humble Pie, but the group was still going strong with the addition of three female backing vocalists. The J. Geils Band was one of the great bands of the 1970s, and this was an early appearance of Frampton’s Camel. Peter Frampton’s first solo album shared its name with the band he assembled for the tour, which included Rick Wills, John Siomos, and keyboardist Mick Gallagher. This is the first time this handbill has appeared in our auction!
