Lollapalooza is an annual music festival started by Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction in 1991. It has since become one of the longest-running music festivals in the United States. From 1991 until 1997, Lollapalooza was a touring festival that booked dates across the U.S. and Canada. This poster announced an August 1992 date at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. Performers included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Ice Cube, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and Lush.
