Starting bid: $10.00

This original first printing poster was produced for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing at Charlotte Coliseum on May 9th, 1969. The opening act was Noel Redding's Fat Mattress. Also on the bill (but not listed on the poster) was Chicago Transit Authority. The iconic poster image by the late great David Byrd was used on promotional material for many shows Hendrix performed during his spring tour of the United States that year. After the concert, the band stayed at the Red Carpet Inn and Jimi was interviewed by Ronnie Parsons and Gary Rice for The Inquisition #3, an underground newspaper in Charlotte. This is the first example of this rare poster we have ever auctioned!

Condition: Paper loss, 4 inch tear, tape pull, creases.
