We are pleased to offer for the FIRST time in our auction, an exceedingly rare copy of this 1965 Bob Dylan CARDBOARD concert poster that promoted his performance at the War Memorial in Syracuse! Dylan opened with an acoustic set that was followed by an electric set backed by the Hawks, later to be renamed The Band (Robbie Robertson on electric guitar, Rick Danko on bass, Richard Manuel on piano, Garth Hudson on organ and Levon Helm on drums). The electric set includes songs from Highway 61 Revisited.

Rare Dylan posters have ALWAYS been the most coveted amongst collectors, and the lot offered here is as rare as they come. This treasure is a classic boxing style concert poster printed on thick cardboard by Murray Poster Printing Company of New York. In addition to its extreme rarity, this poster features a photo by Daniel Kramer and is universally considered amongst collectors to be one of the most visually appealing and desirable Dylan concert posters ever created! A couple years ago, another example of this poster (also with restoration) reached $10,625.00 at another auction house.
