This poster was designed for The Buzzcocks' November 1980 appearance at Emerald City in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The legendary British punk/powerpop band, formed in 1976, is often considered to be one of the progenitors of the pop-punk genre. They would break up the following year before reforming in 1989. Though lead singer Pete Shelley died in 2018, the band continues to perform today.
