1967 The Old House Passing The Pleasure Garden The Glide Church Handbill Extra Fine 69

A very rare and vintage 1967 original handbill advertising a double feature of Lawrence Jordan's "The Old House Passing" and James Broughton's "The Pleasure Garden" presented as a benefit for the San Francisco co-op film distributor Canyon Cinema. A group of bay area filmmakers established Canyon Cinema and it has since grown into one of the largest experimental film distributors in the country. This event was held at Glide Church Fellowship Hall. The Glide Church is a historic San Francisco institution who’s mission was to be a radically inclusive and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization.
