This rare, original handbill announced Bubble Puppy and Conqueroo playing at the Vulcan Gas Company in May & June 1968. It was designed by the amazing Jim Franklin and Gilbert Shelton. Shelton was the art director for the Vulcan along with Jim Franklin of Armadillo World Headquarters fame. Shelton went on to become one of the most well-known underground Comix artists of all time. Material for the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, Texas, is some of the most desirable and valuable in the entire genre of Psychedelic Concert art. Very few of these unique and fragile handbills remain available today in ANY condition. This is the first of this particular issue to appear in our auction!
