This poster announced Poco's appearance at the Boston Tea Party for three nights in June 1970. Poco's first album, Pickin' Up The Pieces, one of the earliest examples of country rock, was acclaimed by music critic Bruce Eider as a "startlingly great record, as accomplished as any of Buffalo Springfield's releases and also reminiscent of the Beatles and the Byrds. The Boston Tea Party venue is one of those pockets of poster collecting that frustrate collectors and dealers alike. The print runs were minuscule, so the survival rates are painfully low. The hottest pieces were absorbed into top collections decades ago and rarely come up for sale. There is no official cataloging reference material for the venue that we are aware of.
