This poster by Jim Franklin was created for the annual Armadillo Pumpkin stomp a yearly Halloween event in which Franklin himself MC’d. This poster measures 11 12/32” x 16 19/32”. There are no nicks cuts tears pinholes or restoration of any kind. The only imperfections are a 1/16 inch corner bumps on the upper right and lower left and slight toning in the bottom right corner..Jim Franklin created the Armadillo as the counter culture alternative to the macho Texas Longhorn. The Armadillo became instantly popular. In fact in this ear the University of Texas student voted to change the university symbol from the Longhorns to the Armadillos. The regents and the alums had other ideas.I consider this simple but evocative poster one of the best of the era. - Nightbyrd*****This poster is available for inspection at our gallery by appointment. *****
