This second-printing poster, printed by Berkeley Bonaparte, was an advertisement for the Psychedelic shop. The Psychedelic Shop, a venture of Ron and Jay Thelin, was a popular gathering place and central distribution point for hippie posters, ephemera, and paraphernalia. This poster was Rick Griffin's first commission when he arrived in San Francisco from Southern California. You can identify this design as the turning point where Griffin's style transformed from Surf Art to Psychedelia. This second-printing poster gives you the opportunity to own the same great artwork as the original poster for a fraction of the price!
