We are pleased to present this rare and unique insider's item from the mid-1960s! This is a membership card for Intrepid Trips, Inc., a management venture spearheaded by the late Julius Karpen. The front features a classic image of Uncle Sam reading "Can YOU Pass the Acid Test?". Intrepid Trips was Karpen's management company during 1965 & 1966. Karpen also managed Big Brother during Janis Joplin's tenure with the group. He was also a Merry Prankster as well as an important part of several cultural events in the 1960s California scene such as the Human Be-In and the Monterey Pop Festival. Karpen passed in 2021. It is unlikely that this item will be made available at public auction anytime soon!
