A collector's favorite, this Velvet Underground handbill issue is extremely scarce and seldom surfaces in ANY condition. This double-sided handbill, created by Jim Franklin, has an ad on the reverse side for Oat Willies, a local Austin headshop from back in the day. Legend has it there may have also been posters produced of this issue; however, at this time, not a single one has surfaced. The handbill is VERY rare!

The material that was created for the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, Texas, in the 1960s is some of the most desirable and valuable in the entire genre of Psychedelic Concert art. These posters and handbills were printed in far less quantity than those for the major San Francisco dance halls, mostly in quantities of 500 or less. Very few of these unique and fragile handbills remain available today in ANY condition.
