The late Greg Irons designed this somewhat gruesome yet incredibly creative poster. Irons was an underground comix artist and a significant contributor to the San Francisco poster scene. His cartoon-like imagery will remain among the most memorable of the entire genre. His work with Last Gasp comix will be remembered as some of the finest underground comic illustration work ever.
The legendary Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley join the featured guitar master John Mayall for this blues explosion at Winterland in 1969. The beautiful artwork by Irons showcases the magnitude of these performances with awe. Irons spent the last years of his life studying tattoo art and was run down in the streets of Bangkok while pursuing that interest. A truly creepy, colorful, and fun poster.
