This classic Black Flag original flyer from 1986 features the group’s legendary “4 Bars” logo designed by artist Raymond Pettibon. His artwork became well known in the late seventies in the Southern California punk rock scene when he began creating album art for groups on SST Records, owned and operated by his brother Greg Ginn. In 1977, Ginn founded the influential punk rock band Black Flag. The show advertised here, at The Show Place in Dover, New Jersey, took place in April 1986, just two months before the original band's FINAL shows. They had released their final album of this formation, In My Head, the year prior.
