This CGC-graded original handbill promotes a 1967 Christmas show by two seminal bands from the 1960s psychedelic scene, Big Brother and the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) and Quicksilver Messenger Service. The design was by Gut (Allen Turk), one of the former presidents of the San Bernardino Chapter of the Hells Angels. Gut also designed several Big Brother issues for Sokol Hall, and he was the band manager for Blue Cheer. Posters and handbills for this show were issued in limited quantities, and this original handbill has remarkably survived in mint condition. It’s extremely undervalued and highly desirable in this state of preservation.
