This original summer concert calendar poster promotes shows at New Jersey’s Capitol Theater, Roosevelt Stadium, and the New Jersey State Fairgrounds in the summer of 1972. These summer events included appearances by Chicago, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, Alice Cooper, The Allman Brothers (who ultimately did not play), and many more! The events were presented by promoter John Scher, who was known for his work with the Capitol Theater. During the 1970s and early 1980s, the famous venue in Passaic, New Jersey, became a popular venue for a whole laundry list of major rock artists. Scher worked diligently to bring a steady flow of talent to the 3,200-seat theater.
