Time for a Pacific Northwest POWERHOUSE! We are pleased to offer one of THE classic Grateful Dead concert posters from the 1960s. This stop on the PNW tour was at the PSC College Center Ballroom in Portland, Oregon. An entire page in the Art of Rock is devoted to these spectacular posters. This example has been hand corrected to read "Mon." instead of a misprinted "Tues."

In late January and early February of 1968, The Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service set out on a tour of the Pacific Northwest. The Tour was dubbed the Quick and the Dead, and six different posters showing the six different venues were issued. The posters designed by George Hunter of The Charlatans featured a unique, distressed “Wild West” motif that is very popular with collectors.
